The Band was formed in San Antonio, Texas in 1993. Culturas exploded onto the Tejano scene and is known as one of the fastest rising groups. By 1994, they had earned the respect and admiration of the Tejano community by winning awards such as Tejano Music Award's Most Promising Band, Rising Star Group, Rising Star Female, San Antonio's Best Tejano Group at the Pura Vida Awards as well as San Antonio's Best Female Vocalist among other nominations. Culturas went on to entertain their fans the best way they know how and shared the love and appreciation with their fans.

The early years was an experience that will never be forgotten. Up until this day, Culturas keeps going with a new focus.

In September of 1995, Culturas went through a major change which forced Delia into making her biggest and most difficult decision of her career. It was up to Delia to keep the band together or not and with much support from their fans, her decision was to keep going which placed Culturas in what they call the 2nd Chapter now known as Delia Y Culturas.

Since then, Delia Y Culturas is in full force and has traveled across the United States: Auora-Chicago, IL, Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, Guanajuato, Monterrey, and continues to gain popularity.

They have made television appearances at the Tejano Music Awards, TTMA Las Vegas Showcase, The Johnny Canales Show, Padrisimo, Puro Tejano, Tejano Country, Ritmo Internacional, Club Telemundo, Orale Primo, Colores del Barrio, La Hora Lunatica, LTV-Michigan, Primetime Tejano.

Delia Y Culturas' lastest appearance was indeed an honor for the group.
They got the opportunity to perform for the President of the United States, William Jefferson 'Bill' Clinton. This memorable experience took place on September 27, 1998 in San Antonio, Texas. Delia had the opportunity to personally meet and speak with President Clinton.

Delia continues her visits to High Schools to meet with students and talk to them about their education and positive actions.

She is an Archival Donor at the University of Texas in Arlington, a research program put together by the Center of Mexican American Studies to help preserve the History of Tejano Music and public figures.

Delia leads Culturas with much style and high energetic performances. They continue to have fun and share the stage with their fans because when you party with Culturas, you never know what can happen!
