Marcos Orozco was born on March 10th.  As a child, Marcos began to discover a true passion for music.  Those feelings would transpire through adulthood and help motivate Marcos into becoming one of Tejano music's brightest stars with his unmistakable voice.

He began his professional music career in 1990 as lead vocalist for Los Fabulosos Cuatro.  With two successful CD's to his credit, in 1994 Marcos joined David Lee Garza y Los Musicales.  During his six years with  Los Musicales, Orozco wrote such songs as "Para Ti," "Pequeño Lucero," "Preciosa," and "Tonto Enamorado," just to name a few.

As a lead singer for Los Musicales, the group won numerous awards from the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA).  As an individual, Marcos received recognition from BMI for his songwriting abilities for the songs "Boca Roja" and "Una Noche Mas."  He was also nominated for a Grammy for the CD, "Nadie Como Yo," which was titled after a song he penned.  Upon the completion of this CD, Marcos began to ponder the idea of pursuing a solo career; a dream which is now a reality.

His first solo CD entitled, "Ahora y Siempre, Simplemente Marcos," recorded under the Catalina Records label, has been an instant success.  This CD has produced such hits as, "Baila Morena," "Llegaste a Mi," "Gotas de Lluvia," and "25 Rosas."  This accomplishment also marks the first work "solely" produced by Marcos.

Marcos is also pleased to present to his fans Grupo Rebelde.  The group is comprised of: David Gonzales (Accordion), Phillip Jesse Sosa (Bass), Greg Enriquez (Drums), Gabriel Gil (Keyboards). These young men are some of the finest musicians en la onda Tejana.
